WELFARE BENEFITS SPECIALIST DISS & THETFORD CITIZENS ADVICE Diss, Thetford e & District advic LOCATED AT BIG C SERVICE, QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSPITAL KINGS LYNN 14 HOURS PER WEEK £9,442.16 pro rata (£23,605 FTE) We are looking for a welfare benefits adviser to work in our busy service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn. The service is located in the Macmillan unit at the hospital. Our advisers assist cancer patients and their families with applications for DWP benefits, as well as Blue Badges, help with fares for medical appointments and Macmillan grants, together with a range of other issues. The service is provided two days per week. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering welfare benefits advice. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they are able to work on their own initiative. The role can be quite demanding and requires a degree of emotional resilience. However, it also has the potential to be extremely rewarding and provides the opportunity to help some of our most vulnerable clients.
